ORDER OF PROTECTION ARTICLES

Order of protection cases are common in the family court. what I have found is that when the police are called and when they respond they consider the situation to be a domestic dispute that does not involve any clear violation of the law, or if the police dont think that it makes sense to have the criminal justice system involved, they tell the parties to go to family court.

While it may make sense to have people go to court before the situation escalates to teh point where there is actual violence. sometimes the family court order of protecion is used as a sword rather than a shield
